Family Campout

June 25th: Family Campout with Fire & Cast Iron Cooking Workshops

Workshops begin at 5pm. Arrive a little earlier to set up your camp.

Connect to the original human technology, FIRE! Fuz Sanderson of the Piedmont Earthskills Gathering shares his knowledge and experience. We’ll learn the basics of setting a reliable fire, and practice the skill of fire by friction (matchless fire-making). In the evening, we’ll relax by the fire and cook dinner using a traditional cast iron setup. Stories and music to follow!

Dinner will include a chicken dish with peach cobbler for desert! We’ll also prepare breakfast over the rekindled campfire.
