Saturday, May 20th, 11am – 2pm

& Saturday, June 17th, 3pm-6pm

Instructor: Cara O’Connell

spoonLearn the enjoyment of making your own wooden spoons from fresh cherry. Expect to learn safe techniques to split and shape the spoons with hatchets, chisels and knives. During the first class, we will make small spoons called eaters or pocket spoons. In the second class, we will be making serving spoons and/or spatulas. Some knives will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sharp locking pocket knives or fixed blade knives for whittling. Gloves are good to bring, as well. No experience needed! Workshop is free and open to the public. Click HERE to register. Donations appreciated.
