Wednesday Visual Arts Classes with Jaime Coggins: Ongoing throughout 2016
Join Greensboro artist, Jaime Coggins for these weekly sessions in visual arts. The curriculum will be based on class sizes and interests. Below are some previous and current class topics:
Introduction to Studio Art
Learn the basic tools and methods needed to set up and paint with acrylics, draw with charcoal and create three-dimensional artwork. These building blocks will be used for future classes and help one understand the visual art fundamentals. Taught by
Painting: Color and Methods
In this beginners class we will cover the spectrum of possibilities that an artist can achieve with a simple, forgiving and colorful medium, using basic brushes. There are many ways to use these simple tools that can even be a direct extension of drawing. Acrylic paints are a friendly way to learn basic painting.
Drawing in Dimensions
Through this intermediate level workshop, we will explore form, line of sight, dimension
and shading techniques to learn how you can bring your drawing to life! We will use basic drawing tools, focusing on the fundamentals of three-dimensional drawing techniques.
Using three-dimensional drawing, line formation and free form, create an imaginative painting representing your feelings and thoughts. There are no boundaries to the combinations of colors and shapes we can use to represent ourselves as individuals. This is a group activity.
