Support Shakori Hills Community Arts Center

Become a Member of our Shakori Hills Family!

Shakori Hills Community Arts Center (SHCAC) provides culturally significant arts, music and educational activities and outreach to local and regional communities, while teaching environmental awareness and sustainable living practices.

Programming includes the spring and fall Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance, the local chapter of Junior Appalachian Musicians, Roots in the Schools, as well as various arts and sustainability classes.

SHCAC, a 501(c)3, relies on the support of our generous community and business organizations to help provide the resources needed to sustain year-round programming and events for all ages.

To increase the impact of your generous giving, we offer monthly sustainer opportunities in addition to one-time gifts.

Send us an email or call 919-542-1746 to set up a recurring donation.

Both recurring and one-time gifts are tremendously appreciated.

Two simple ways to give today:

  1. AmazonSmile – Amazon will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to SHCAC year-round.
  2. Click here to make a one-time donation, via PayPal, today!

SHCAC has earned the GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency.

Your gift to the Annual Fund supports the general operations as well as the greatest needs of the organization. Designated by the Board of Directors, your gift will ensure that the fiscal health and structure of the organization are met and that our programming is supported year round.

As an event sponsor, your business or organization will help support the Community Arts Organization with the production and promotion of one of our biannual community festivals.

A portion of your donation will go to support our Annual Fund to ensure the basic needs of the organization are met.

Tickets sales alone support just a fraction of what it costs to run such a large regional event.

We have opportunities for sponsorship of Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance, the Hoppin’ John Old-Time Bluegrass Fiddlers’ Convention, and NC Stars in the Round.

As a program supporter, your contribution will provide direct support to an ongoing program of your choice, with a portion of your donation to also support our Annual Fund to ensure the basic needs of the organization are met.

Feel free to donate to a specific workshop or class. Program needs include everything from craft supplies to musical instruments. Most of our teachers are volunteers; if you are a musician, or know a trade, you could donate your time and experience.

JAM provides low to no-cost music lessons in fiddle, guitar, mandolin and dance to students in fourth thru seventh grade. For many of these children it is the first time they have ever picked up an instrument. The JAM students perform at our biannual GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance.
